Our recent work for this global Wrangler campaign showcases what we do best at Heavy Duty, working with a client to explore many directions, to yield the best musical outcome for a company. Initially hired as music supervisors, we explored dusty gems versus commissioning something custom by a contemporary artist. Eventually we landed on the deep cut “I Want To Be Free” by the Sparkles (1967). After finding the song and negotiating the rights on behalf of our client, we gave the track a remix treatment for Wrangler’s 2021 audience.
